Karl Schmitz vertrekt als directeur van de Duitse organisatie voor telersorganisaties BVEO.
Hij wordt opgevolgd door Christian Weseloh, nu directeur van de Duitse aardappelhandelsorganisatie DKHV.
Schmitz is als BVEO-directeur de directe gesprekspartner van Nederlandse zusterorganisatie DPA. BVEO richtte recent de Duitse exportorganisatie GFV op om export van Duits product te promoten.
